Love Wins!

Hello, Everyone!

I know I haven’t written anything in a while. I’ve just been really busy with school. Here’s what I’ve been up to.

These past few weeks I’ve been noticing something. I’m finally focusing on myself. I’ve said this a bunch of times, but I’m finally doing something about it. Here is something I wrote.

Me, Myself, and I

Waiting for my Cinderella moment,

Looking for my Prince Charming to save me.

Proven time after time to not rely on others.

I’ve been through a lot of dark moments.

But I’ve been strong on my own.

Letting go of the excuses.

I’m getting control of my life.

My heart and brain are finally on the same page.

Not letting things get in my way.

Realizing that I will always be there for myself.

Doing what’s best for me.

Taking care of my needs.

Finally doing what makes me happy.

Finding my self-worth.

Finding my little happiness.

And that is all I need.

“I thank God every day that I woke up feeling this way. And I can’t help loving myself. And I don’t need nobody else.” – Meghan Trainor, Me Too

To Write Love On Her Arms

rainbowtitle-shirt“TWLOHA began in Orlando in 2006, as an attempt to help our friend Renee Yohe. A story was written and “Title” shirts were printed and sold with the goal of paying for Renee’s treatment. Central Florida has been our home ever since. In response to the recent tragedy at Orlando’s Pulse Night Club, hundreds of counselors are offering grief counseling right now. Because of the ongoing need for counseling in the weeks and months ahead, TWLOHA is proud to give a portion of the proceeds from every shirt sold to funding counseling sessions through Solace CounselingZebra Coalition, and the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida. In the future, we will continue to dedicate a portion of funds to organizations meeting mental health needs among the LGBTQ community.

It’s important to note that LGBTQ youth are 4x more likely to attempt suicide than their straight peers. And each episode of LGBTQ victimization, such as physical or verbal harassment or abuse, increases the likelihood of self-harming behavior by 2.5 times on average.”
